    1. Asymptomatic Carotid Stenosis and Risk of Stroke (ACSRS) study (under the auspices of the International Union of Angiology). Natural history study of patients with carotid stenosis for the identification of a high-risk group of stroke.
    2. AT1-201 UK multicentre study (effects of compound AT-1015 a novel selective 5-HT2A serotonin receptor antagonist that is known to impair platelet aggregation and vasoconstriction) on walking distance of patients with intermittent claudication. Randomised controlled trial.
    3. MRC Asymptomatic Carotid Surgery Trial (ACST). Randomised controlled trial comparing carotid endarterectomy with medical treatment.
    4. TOPICAL I UK multicentre study (testing of Protoderm in chronic non-acute leg ulcers). Randomised controlled trial comparing tissue engineered skin grafts.
    5. Study THESIS (the cost of atherothrombosis in Greece: Investigation of healthcare and social consequences). Observational pharmaco-economical study.
    6. Clinical study “A multicenter, randomized, parallel groups, comparative clinical trial for the assessment of efficacy and safety of Pelethrocin®/HELP 500 mg (generic diosmin & hesperidin MPFF) versus Daflon®/Servier 500 mg (reference diosmin & hesperidin MPFF) in the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency patients (a therapeutic equivalence trial).”
